About Me
This is me, Daryl. I lost the jacket I’m wearing in the picture when it slipped off my bag and I walked away not noticing. Very sad.
I’ve been with BLUE Interactive Marketing since August 2009 as a business analyst, sitting in the Consulting practice, specialising in social media. It’s my first job out of university, where I graduated with a distinction in marketing and corporate communications and a business degree from the Singapore Management University (SMU).
I love social media and I love connecting with people with similar interests. How the internet serves as an enabler for relationships just fascinates me and it’s awesome being alive at this point in history to experience it. I passionately believe that companies and organisations can do a far better job in embracing social media and their customers to better their business.
I have a thing for all things media. Walk into my room and you’ll see books and graphic novels and DVDs everywhere. When we moved in this corner of my room was meant to be a wardrobe. I said to hell with that, squeezed all my clothes into two towers, and opted for a library instead.
Besides my day job, I’m also co-founder of Social Media Breakfast | Singapore, which started back in March 2008.
